The General Surgery Department is attached to the General Hospital. The III rd Year B.D.S students are given clinical training in basic surgical principles, sterilization, a sepsis and bedside examination of patients. They are also trained to record case histories of patients. Exposure to Operation Theater enables students to learn scrub techniques, it also gives the students a chance to get hands-on technique as they assist in simple surgeries.
